IGOR (12.45 Ascot) made a big impression when second on his debut here over 2m3f last month.
He travelled strongly there and jumped well enough before looking very green when the race developed in earnest.
He should appreciate this step up in distance and wouldn’t have to improve much to get off the mark.
THOMAS DARBY (1.55 Ascot) won on his bumper debut and followed up when scoring at Cheltenham the first time he jumped a hurdle.
He made one mistake that stopped him a little here last time but he was still beaten a neck in second.
He is clearly still learning this game and should come on a lot, certainly enough to beat these rivals.

MATTERHORN (2.05 Southwell) had plenty in hand when scoring at Lingfield last time out. He had two lengths in hand crossing the line but it could have been a lot more. He has a 6lb penalty today which should hold no fears over an ideal trip.
VINNDICATION (2.30 Ascot) has done nothing but win so far, including on his chasing debut at Carlisle last time out.
He jumped well enough there and kept pulling out more when challenged. He takes a slight hike in distance here which looks a wise move, and he has what it takes to go a long way as a chaser.
Wizard's magic tips...
EACH-WAY DOUBLE: FIRST BREATH (12.55 Southwell) finished well from a long way back when third here last time and is taking a wise step up in distance here.
Pair him with DARLING MALTAIX (3.05 Ascot) who has been knocking on the door and was a good third at Wincanton last time.

Hayden Panettiere

Height: 5ft 1in
Weight: 8st
To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
