ANTONIO RUDIGER has told Chelsea he has no plans to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
The Germany international’s current contract runs until 2022.
He has become a central figure under Maurizio Sarri, starting all 17 of the Blues’ Premier League games and striking up an effective partnership at the heart of the defence with David Luiz.
In the summer, he was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and though those rumours are now distant, the 25-year-old sees no need for fresh terms to be agreed with three-and-a-half years left on his deal in west London.
He said: “That’s not the case to be honest.
“There’s no need, because I still have three-and-a-half years to go.

“There’s no speaking between me and the club.
“It’s also not necessary at the moment either with three-and-a-half years to go.”
Rudiger moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2017 for £35million from Roma and made 45 appearances under Antonio Conte in his maiden campaign.
Sarri’s arrival from Napoli has seen the ex-Stuttgart man emerge as a key figure and he has been an ever-present from the start in England’s top flight this term.
After under-performing in Conte’s final campaign in charge, Rudiger has helped Chelsea emerge as a contender for a Champions League place.
The club are fourth in the table, three points ahead of Arsenal, ahead of the busy festive period.
Chelsea face Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday before their 2018 schedule with Premier League games against Leicester City, Watford and Crystal Palace.
Eden Hazard, a scorer of nine goals this term, will be key to the club’s hopes of holding onto a place in the top four and Rudiger hopes his form continues.
He added: “He doesn’t have too much ego, so if he sees someone in a better position he plays them in, and that’s fair enough.”
“The way he’s playing is fantastic. We all know what he’s capable of and I’m happy for him.
“Every position he plays he makes a statement, he’s strong.
“He’s really doing a fantastic job. He’s a leader, he’s a good example, not by speaking, but by doing, so he’s very good.”
