Ant McPartlin pre-empted his imminent return to work by taking in the recording of a new show with his loved ones on Thursday afternoon.
The presenter, who will resume presenting duties on Britain's Got Talent in January, was joined by mother Christine Woodhall and girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire.
Ant, 43, was upbeat as he watched the recording of popular game show Replay 2018, which is developed by the production company he owns with close friend and fellow presenter Declan Donnelly, prior to its airing on Friday evening.

It's understood that Dec, 43, was also on hand to watch the recording, less than a month after completing work on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
A source told the Mirror: 'Ant and Dec’s production company makes the show so they went for a night out to watch it being filmed.
'Ant was in high spirits and seemed to love being back in a working environment. It was great to see them back together again. They haven’t lost their sparkle.'

Ant had previously hinted at his involvement in Replay 2018 when he took to Twitter on Friday for the first time in over a month.
The star had been keeping a low profile to focus on his well-being after his drink-drive arrest in March, but announced his TV comeback - albeit as producer - on the social media platform, where he commands an audience of millions.
Taking to the Twitter account he shares with Dec, he wrote: '***exciting show alert*** Tonight ITV 9pm Re-Play 2018 with Richard Osman. Play along and see if you've been paying attention to 2018. Enjoy! A'

This comes following reports that Ant's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong was set to end her custody bid for Hurley, as according to The Sun it would end the stressful handovers that came with the joint custody agreement.
The source claimed: 'Lisa was desperate to keep Hurley. He's her baby boy, her one constant throughout this ordeal.
'But she doesn't want anything to do with Ant in future. Sadly to achieve that she must choose between keeping Hurley or moving on without him.'

A chaffeur has also reportedly been tasked with collecting Hurley from Lisa since Ant was banned for drink-driving.
The former couple had been fighting for custody of their beloved pooch Hurley, eventually drawing up a rota for shared time after adopting him together in 2013.
According to the Daily Star, the former couple – who, since their January split, have been spending a week each with the pooch – were said to be ironing out an agreement that would see Hurley endure as little disruption as possible.
Ant is understood to have credited the Labrador with helping him through his well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse issues, with Hurley even given allowance to visit him in a residential rehabilitation centre.

However, make-up artist Lisa is said to be equally attached, and frequently fills her Instagram page with posts of herself and the dog she shares with Ant.
In October, Ant and Lisa's divorce was finalised, after eleven years of marriage, in a 30-second hearing after he admitted adultery with his new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett.

He has taken an extended break from the showbiz world after crashing his car during a drink drive incident which saw him fined £86,000.
