A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a university student disappeared on a freshers' week night out five days ago.
Thomas Jones, 18, was last seen in the early hours of September 19 leaving a nightclub close to the River Severn in Worcester.
He had called his mother to say he was home safe from the Velvet club just after 3am but never arrived.
The teenager had told a close friend he was 'two minutes away' from his university accommodation when he vanished.
Two 20-year-old men have since been arrested and remain in police custody on suspicion of his murder.

Thomas is thought to have crossed the Sabrina footbridge before walking on to the footpath along the top of the flood defences on Hylton Road towards Hallow just before 3.50am, officers added.
Members of the public have been asked to stay away from the search area where trained divers and officers are conducting a 'full and thorough search'.

Thomas (pictured) was last seen leaving a nightclub in Worcester at around 3am
Residents had previously been asked to check CCTV, dashcams and garden sheds for signs of Thomas, but police eventually told volunteers to go home.
They released pictures of the two men they wanted to trace before they were arrested and taken into custody.
Thomas was a new student at the University of Worcester and was training to be a primary school teacher.
Harley Hetherington, 18, has known Thomas since they were nine-years-old and had been due to start on the same course as him today.
The teenager has set up a Facebook page called 'Find Jonah', referring to Thomas's nickname, which has already accumulated 18,000 members since it was created on Thursday.
He had seen Thomas in the Velvet nightclub shortly before he went missing but said he seemed 'absolutely fine' and 'not intoxicated at all.'
Harley said he believed Thomas had gone out on his own after going to watch the West Bromwich Albion versus Bristol City game earlier that night with his father
Harley, who lives in Worcester city centre, said: 'I've known Thomas since we were kids, we went to the same school in Bromsgrove.

Expert officers are pictured scouring the River Severn in Worcester for evidence after the disappearance and suspected murder of Thomas Jones last week

'When he went missing I just wanted to help in any way I could and we are still just trying to stay positive and hopeful.
'I am doing the same course as him which is Primary Initial Teaching Education - our first lecture was today.
'I think he had gone out of his own on the night after watching the Baggies game with his dad. I reckon he thought he was going to bump into a few people he knew.
'I saw him in the Velvet nightclub and he seemed absolutely fine. He was behaving normally and didn't seemed intoxicated at all.
'You can tell when somebody has had a few but Thomas wasn't like that, there was no sign of drink or drugs and that's what has baffled us all.
'It was like talking to him at a lecture in the middle to the day, that's how little he'd had to drink. He was his usual bubbly self, looking forward to starting uni.
'He knew Worcester city centre as we'd been out there before but he was new to the St John's area of the city where his new halls of residence were.
'Tom had phoned his mum and then his new flatmate to tell him he was two minutes away' from home before he disappeared.

Crime scene: A murder probe has now been launched five days after Thomas went missing
'Nobody can quite understand how its happened. He was quite close to getting home safe and had told people he was fine right up until the point he went missing.
'The response has been unbelievable. We've got people sharing the appeal across the whole country and loads of people have helped with the search in Worcester.
'It wasn't the news we wanted to hear when the police said they have arrested two people - but we refuse to give up hope.'
Superintendent Damian Pettit added: 'The investigating team have been carrying out extensive enquiries and searches since Thomas was reported missing on Wednesday - officers are working around the clock to try to locate Thomas.
'The community of Worcester has really pulled together and I would like to thank everyone who has come forward with information, as well as to the hundreds of volunteers who have been supporting the investigation.
'We are continuing the investigation with a number of lines of enquiry and will keep the community updated with developments in our continued investigation.

'Thomas' family has been made aware of the updates and they are being supported by specially trained officers.'
Superintendent Pettit continued: 'I understand today's update may have an impact on the local community and there will be officers in the local area over the coming days to offer reassurance to local residents.
'Anyone who is concerned is encouraged to speak to a local officer on patrol or to call us.
'Searches will be continuing and we kindly ask that the public stay away from the search area, so that our trained officers can continue to conduct a full and thorough search.
'We are working with the university to ensure that staff, students and all affected by Thomas's disappearance are receiving the support they need.'
The University of Worcester student's father Ian, 53, of Bromsgrove, said previously: 'We are all so worried, it has been the most distressing two days of our lives and it's completely out of character for Tom.'
