Court Jez-ter
THERE are plenty of people willing Boris Johnson to fail – including, it seems, within his own party.
His strategy to deliver Brexit by October 31 by “any means necessary” is already being undermined by Philip Hammond and others committed to taking no deal off the table.

That’s the same Philip Hammond who effectively sabotaged the former Prime Minister’s Brexit plans by failing to prepare for a clean break, by the way. If you’re looking for political geniuses, look elsewhere.
But while he and other rebels work out how to stop Boris and stop Brexit, they should instead be focusing their fire on the real enemy: Jeremy Corbyn.
In his car crash interview with Sophy Ridge on TV yesterday, he laid out his plan — again — to turn Britain into an experiment in 21st century Marxism.
He also outlined his baffling Brexit policy, which has now been subject to so many U-turns we’ve turned dizzy.
‘THICK AS MINCE’
Boris’s new adviser Dominic Cummings once called a Tory MP “thick as mince”. The Labour leader makes ground meat look like a Mastermind champ.
Can that man be let anywhere near power? Domestically, he’d be a disaster. As for our negotiations with Europe, they would turn him inside out.
Yet there is a very real threat of a coming election and a Corbyn government if Boris doesn’t have his party, every single bit of it, behind him.
Tory MPs thinking they can work on the margins to stop Brexit are playing with fire.
Royals rocked
WHAT is going on with royal security?
Twice in the past month The Sun has revealed shocking lapses that have left members of The Firm in potential danger.

No parent would want their children to come face to face with a hardened criminal, and the Duke of Cambridge is no different.
Kensington Palace has rightly stepped up security in the aftermath of the jaw-dropping incident and will be changing the rules on who can and cannot waltz into the courtyard.
Good. This can’t happen again.
Hurt for a hero
IT is heartbreaking to read what Lord Bramall went through after the Met fell hook, line and sinker for fantasist Carl Beech’s child abuse claims.
This man, who served in Normandy in World War II and was head of the Army during the Falklands War, is a national hero. The police acted disgracefully in pursuing clearly ludicrous claims.

MOST READ IN OPINION
But they did it because they were cheered on by politicians desperate to take swipes at “the establishment”.
None more so than Labour Deputy Leader Tom Watson, who is still yet to apologise.
Speak up, Tom. Make sure they can hear you at the back.
