KATIE Price faces a new row with ex husband Peter Andre after refusing to take hair strand drugs tests.
The reality star, 41, has been asked to take the tests after she admitted she was taking cocaine “weekly for about half a year” – but has told friends she doesn’t need to as her chaotic life is back on track.
Insiders say Katie has “put her foot down” and told her team she’s “done enough” tests – and won’t be doing any more.
“She’s sick of it – she feels she’s done enough of them and has nothing to prove now,” a source close to Katie says.
However, another source adds: “Everyone wishes she would do a test and then prove once and for all that there are no problems to worry about.”
Last year, it was reported that Pete, 46, had forced Katie to take a substance test before he’d allow their two children, Princess, 12, and Junior, 14, to see her.
In June last year, a source told The Sunday People: “Peter’s been very worried about Katie and the children and he has asked her to take a drugs test.
“Katie has agreed to do it. He wants to be assured he has nothing to worry about.”
It came shortly before The Sun ran a shocking video of Katie rapping about cocaine while on a bender in Marbella, partying with strangers and saying ““I love the coke, you know, it gets me in the air.”
Katie also admitted to taking cocaine “weekly for about half a year” after an “awful year” when she appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire Show in February.
“I was self medicating on a drug, cocaine, I’m not proud of it,” she said, before insisting she was no longer taking drugs.
“Am I ashamed I did it? It’s not good but I couldn’t help it, I was at breaking point,” she added.
Friends of the star also told The Sun On Sunday that she “dabbled in cocaine” as her five year marriage to ex Kieran Hayler collapsed.
In 2010, she said Pete’s “controlling nature” during their marriage drove her to take drugs, adding: “I’m not saying that I blame Pete for the night I ended up taking drugs during my lowest suffering from the postnatal depression, that’s my responsibility alone.

“But a small part of me feels that Pete drove me to that point because he’s so against me having a drink and having any kind of relapse.”
Since then, Katie insists she’s sorted her life out and resents what she sees as Pete’s attempts to “control her”, our insider says.
“She’s sick of everyone trying to control her life. She’s looking to the future and trying for a baby with Kris – would she be on drugs if she was trying to get pregnant?” says a source.
