DEAR DEIDRE: I CAN’T choose between my boyfriend and my best friend.

I’m a bisexual woman of 39 and my bloke is 42. He’s cheated with other women online but I don’t think he has actually met anyone, so I’ve stayed with him.

My best friend is a woman of 40. We love one another and, during a rough patch with my boyfriend, we talked about being together.

Both our daughters are 13 and my friend thinks we’d make a great couple. Her husband left her soon after her daughter was born when she told him she was gay.

My boyfriend has said I can have a relationship with my best friend as well as him but I want to be committed to being with one or the other.

Tell your boyfriend you want to give your relationship a proper chance. He must stop cheating online while you take a break from your friend.

Give it, say, six months and I think your relationship will either be revived or not working.
