LOVE Island fans were left in tears tonight after Maura and Curtis broke down as their parents visited the villa.
The couple were overcome with emotion as they greeted their folks.
Curtis’ mum told him she couldn’t wait to meet Maura, although she couldn’t actually pronounce her name correctly – and kept saying ‘Moira’.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “Maura’s mum blatantly is not a fan of Curtis!”
Another said: “Don’t think Mammy was impressed with Curtis #LoveIsland”.
A third wrote: “Mauras mum is so adorable I can’t #LoveIsland”.
A fourth said: “how much does Curtis’ mum look like Amy #LoveIsland”.
A fifth said: “If a mother can’t pronounce your name she’s not feeling you. Or she’s just silly #loveisland”.
The ballroom and latin dancer is said to have asked for an entirely new wardrobe because he can’t fit into the clothes he had been wearing in the first few weeks of the show.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Curtis took some clothes with him and there were also outfits provided by sponsors. But he had to ask for some new ones because he is struggling to fit into them now.”
Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard’s brother is said to have gone up two clothes sizes while in the Spanish abode, because he has been enjoying tasty treats and unable to train.
The insider added: “Curtis normally burns off a lot of calories because he’s a professional dancer, but obviously in the villa he’s not been training.”
A Love Island spokesperson told The Sun Online: “It is incredibly irresponsible that any Islander would body shamed in this way and we would always discourage anyone from making appearance based comments that could be hurtful to the islanders and their families.”
“I just want to hear him out and respect his wishes by allowing him to do that. And I would like to hear him out because I’d like to know exactly what went on there.

Meanwhile, after some viewers called for more body diversity in the villa, other fans pointed out the 23-year-old’s change in body shape.
One tweeted: “Most of the islanders have put on weight since they’ve gone into the villa. It was noticeable in Michael and Curtis, even amber looks fuller but it looks good on her.”
Another shared: “Why has Curtis all of a sudden added weight?”
A separate viewer wrote: “Curtis actually gained weight in the Villa.”
