"Many Photos" - Ex-girlfriend and all-girl gang cackle as they kick and stamp on teen, 18, pleading ‘please let me go’ on floor

THIS is the moment a woman and an all-girl gang kick and stamp on her 18-year-old ex-girlfriend in a sickening attack.

Aimee Purdey could be heard begging “please let me go” as she curled up onto the floor in a desperate attempt to avoid the flailing kicks.

Footage of the sickening “happy slap” attack was released by Aimee after the thugs responsible – led by her ex Simone McDermott – avoided immediate jail sentences yesterday.

McDermott, 19, had lured victim Aimee to her apartment at 1am on the pretext of needing a shoulder to cry on – only for the victim to be violently ambushed by her and three female friends, all 18.

As Miss Purdey curled up in a ball and begged: “Let me go, please let me go,” McDermott and the other girls laughed and rained down kicks and punches while one filmed the assault on her mobile phone.

The teen was so badly beaten that doctors even found footprints on her head.

In the two minute video, one the attackers could be heard shouting: ”Giver her here – I’ll have a go” whilst another said: ”I’m gonna break your face.”

Miss Purdey was left with multiple bruising to her head and body and underwent a CT scan in hospital after doctors found footprint on her forehead.

One of her finger nails was so badly damaged in the assault, it fell off her finger.

Melissa Marriott and Siobhan Wait, both of Blackley, and Victoria Houghton, of Wythenshawe, admitted assault with intent to rob and were given suspended sentences at Manchester Crown Court.

They were also ordered to perform up to 280 hours unpaid work each and must give Aimee a total of £2,000 compensation.

Both Marriott and McDermott said they had believed Aimee had “intimate” pictures of them on their phone at the time of the attack.

They both sobbed in the dock as Judge Timothy Smith said Marriott had “orchestrated a pre-planned, vicious, cowardly ambush and assault”.

JUSTICE SERVED?

But Aimee, from Denton, said she was horrified by the suspended sentence handed down by the judge.

The young woman, now 20, told Manchester Evening News: “I wanted them to do (immediate) custodial sentences. “They were saying in court they are young and that they have been through stuff but I’ve been through stuff.

“I don’t go around battering people or jumping on people or even being mean to people.

“I’m annoyed about (the sentence). I just don’t think justice has been fully served.”

The court heard McDermott had been in a relationship with Miss Purdey but began an affair with college student Marriott whilst the victim was on holiday in Spain.

In a statement Miss Purdey, 19, a bartender said: ”I thought they wanted to kill me – I could have died. I had a lot of pain with my injuries and I was unable to leave my room for two to three weeks – when I did go out I had to have someone with me.”

She said she had even started getting her shopping delivered as she was so scared to leave the house.

McDermott initially claimed Miss Purdey had attacked her and her friends intervened but she later admitted the assault.
