"Many Photos" - Woman becomes an internet sensation for her joy-filled photo shoot celebrating her divorce

Marie Lollis wanted to celebrate the next chapter of her life with a commemorative photo shoot.

This wasn't for an engagement, wedding, or new baby, though. Marie had just gotten divorced.

But her joy-filled photo shoot, complete with burning wedding photos, knee-high boots, and a wine glass that reads 'Boy Bye', has turned Marie into an internet sensation.

'I wanted to show that strong women can be empowered to move on and be happy,' Marie, 47, told DailyMail.com. 'It's okay to be happy again.'

Marie said she got the idea for the photo shoot after her divorce from Quinton Eaton, her husband of 13 years, finally became finalized this month.

'I wanted a way to close a chapter in my life my way, and celebrate finally making it official,' she said.

She enlisted the help of sister-in-law Natasha Lollis, who is married to Marie's brother and runs Tiltin' My Lens Photography. Together they created a series of photos that are defiant, cheeky, and joyful.

In one photo, Marie smiles wide as she holds up her heels. The bottom of one reads 'est 2006' while the other reads 'Done 2019'.

One picture shows a close-up of Marie stepping on her framed wedding photo, breaking the glass, while another shows her staring off into the distance as the photo burns beside her.

Marie said her favorite photo in the series is one that shows her throwing her head back in laughter. She's holding a wine glass that reads 'Finally divorced, boy bye'.

The photos caught the attention of one Twitter user, who posted them alongside the caption: 'Insanely powerful vibes coming from this divorce photo shoot'.

Marie's pictures then became an instant hit, receiving more than 59,000 likes and 10,000 retweets.

'We honestly didn't realize this would go so viral,' she said. 'I think everyone is shocked and amused that someone actually stepped out of the normal and did something bold.'

Marie said she wanted the photos to represent 'strong powerful women' who 'have the strength to carry on'.

It has been a long journey to happiness for Marie, who said everything changed when her husband became addicted to drugs.

'He got hooked on meth and got around with a wrong crowd,' she said. 'It's sad how meth can change a person. When he was not on that, he was a good man.'

Marie said her husband was in and out of jail and that they had been separated for years before they were finally able to finalize their divorce.

Eaton is currently in jail, awaiting trial for eight pending larceny charges.

Marie said numerous women have since reached out to her and said they were inspired to leave their bad relationships behind after seeing her photos.

'After everything, I'm stronger and I'm happy with my life,' she said. 'I'm blessed with a good man and family and close friends.'
