ANT and Dec and pal Phillip Schofield have launched a £7.5million court battle after a villa resort went bust.

The Britain’s Got Talent pair were buying next-door homes and were holidaying there when a bank pulled the plug.

Files listing creditors show Ant is owed £2.37million and Dec £2.38million.

This Morning host Phillip, 57 today, lost £1.4million on his pad nearby at The Keys on Portugal’s Algarve.

The three are trying to get the cash back plus £430,000 compensation.

However, they rate lower on the list of creditors than state-owned bank Caixa Geral de Depositos, which is owed £250million by developers Birchview Inmobiliaria.

The owners of the company, declared insolvent, are appealing against liquidation.

A source said: “Ant and Dec spent only a few days in the villas and were in them when they had to leave.

“It was a very distressing time for them.”
