"Many Photos" - Royal Family stalked by 160 people since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding marking an all-time high

THE number of royal stalkers is at an all-time high.

Stats show a near-25 per cent rise in suspects reported since Harry and Meghan married last May — from 130 to 160.

Five dangerous stalkers were branded of ‘high concern’ by protection bosses

Five were of “high concern”, as experts cited a “worrying” lack of intelligence and protection.

Dai Davies, ex-royal protection head at the Met Police, said: “The royals attract people who are fixated — from terrorists to people on the far right.

“The fact that Harry married a woman of black origin could, in some maniac eyes, give rise to further concern.”

He said the couple’s move to rural Berkshire was “a potential problem”.

Mr Davies said information is often not shared among authorities, while social media was a threat.

He added: “It doesn’t take a brain surgeon working out where they are going to be and when.”

Some 160 suspects were referred last year to the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre — staffed by cops, psychiatrists and mental health nurses.

More than half were of moderate or high concern, Freedom of Information data show.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
