"Many Photos" - Female sports star ‘extremely distressed’ after ‘sex tape’ is leaked online

A FEMALE sports star is said to be “extremely distressed” after a sex tape was leaked online, according to reports.

Cops are investigating after images of the athlete with a previous sexual partner started circulating on the Internet last week.

It is believed the Scottish star was only 18 years old when the video was originally recorded.

A source close to the athlete said the shocking experience had left her “extremely distressed”, the Daily Record reports.

Investigators were allegedly called in after her phone was hacked and the video posted on social media.

Google, Twitter and other sites have been asked to take the footage down and remove mention of the clips.

The source added: “This has left her on the edge.

“Police are investigating and it’s an extremely delicate one.

“She had no idea she still had the video saved. She wrongly believed she had deleted it. It was a long time ago.”

A spokesperson for the police force leading the investigation said: “We’re investigating a report of the disclosure of private sexual images.

“The victim is being fully supported by officers.”

The law now treats cases of revenge porn — where an ex shares explicit images without consent — as an offence.
