SIMON Cowell appeared to take a swipe at Fleur East joining I’m a Celebrity during tonight’s X Factor final.

After his one remaining act – Scarlett Lee – performed, Simon told her he could see her nerves and told her to get them in control as her life could be about to change.

However his words of encouragement soon took a bit of a mean turn as he added: “I don’t want you in the jungle in two years time drinking worm juice, I want you on either Broadway or West End or selling records.

“This could change your life babe.”

Audience members could be heard booing Simon while viewers at home immediately took it as a dig at Fleur, who finished runner up on the show in 2014 and is currently in the Australian jungle on the ITV reality show.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Whoa did @SimonCowell just diss @FleurEast? #harsh #XFactor.”
