New photo Ed Sheeran earned more than £106,000 EVERY DAY in 2018

Music man Ed Sheeran has the ultimate Midas touch. I can reveal that he earned more than £106,000 per day last year, outshining even Premier League football stars.

Newly published accounts for the carrot-topped crooner's company, Nathan Cable Touring — through which he channels his income from 'live performance of music' — disclose that he has amassed £38.8 million in the past year.

And that's just one of his companies. For his 'writing, recording and production of music' he owns a separate firm, Ed Sheeran Ltd, which pays him an additional £75,000 per day.

Drinks are on him when he celebrates turning 28 next month.

Three times unlucky: Petra splits again  

Blessed with goddess-like looks and a winning personality, Petra Nemcova has nevertheless been left nursing a broken heart again.

The Czech model's engagement to investment banker Alejandro Grimaldi (inset) has been broken off. 

'It's a civil break-up,' a friend insists. 'They are staying friends.'

Petra accepted his proposal in St-Tropez in June 2017 and they have been living together since, as well as working on several joint business and charity projects.

 Sadly, this is the third time Petra, once courted by You're Beautiful singer James Blunt, has been unable to marry a fiance.

Her first engagement, to fashion photographer Simon Atlee, ended in tragedy when he was killed in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Thailand. She survived by hanging on to a tree for eight hours.

In 2011, she became engaged to Emmerdale star Jamie Belman, but they split up two years later.

 Bodyguard star Richard Madden admits his next role as Sir Elton John's former manager and lover, John Reid, in Rocketman — the long-awaited biopic of the singer — won't enhance his action-hero credentials for James Bond. 

'Have you seen my hair in the movie?' Madden asks. 'It's long and very Seventies, with some big blow-dries and huge crests and things. 

And dyed very black along with my eyebrows — they looked like they had been Sharpied in.'

It's fair to say New Year pleasantries won't be exchanged between Gary Lineker and Bob Geldof.

'I thought: 'I'll go and say hello.'

 I put my hand out to shake his [and] he kind of just offered it, [then] looked away,' Lineker reveals. 'I went: 'Lovely to meet you, Bob.' He went: 'Yeah' then walked straight past me.'
