Comedian Johnny Vegas has sparked concerns for his well-being after he appears to to drunkenly collapse on stage during a performance.

Fans of the 47-year-old funnyman were concerned as he struggled to speak during his performance before collapsing to the floor.

Johnny Vegas appeared to fall off the stage at a show last night and reportedly had to be carried off by staff

Some audience members rushed to check the star wasn't injured, while others jeered, as he was helped off stage by staff.
One audience member said: ' Johnny Vegas you were an absolute d******d at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool.
'P****d as a fart, couldn't speak. Escorted off stage by staff. Spent our hard earned cash. Sort your s**t out.'
While another added: 'I have never been a fan of Johnny Vegas, but even the Mrs agreed he cut a sad sight tonight.
'Drunk on stage, and being that paralytic that he rolled off stage and had to be helped off.'
In a tweet response from the venue, to a complaint, they said: 'That was part of the act Susan.
'Comedy is subjective so we had seven very different acts on so there should be something for everyone.'
The incident comes just months after Mr Vegas admitted he had lost three stone after ditching the booze.
Former hypochondriac Johnny, real name Michael Pennington, discussed his weight, health and fitness in his 2011 autobiography, Becoming Johnny Vegas.
He penned: 'When Johnny did away with the hypochondria, it was suddenly like I had no fear of death. There was a real carelessness towards my wellbeing...
'Johnny had a theory that if you counted how much you were drinking, you weren’t enjoying it. He never kept track but he could go on drinking for hours.
'I was ill with nerves before going on. As Michael Pennington I’d build up during the day, hoping to coax Johnny out of his box.'
Earlier this year he announced his split from his wife Maia Dunphy after seven years of marriage.
