CHANNEL 5 viewers have been left furious as Jane McDonald dominates TV schedules with SIX shows on New Year’s Eve alone.
The BAFTA winning presenter and singer has a whole evening of shows on December 31, kicking things off at 8pm with Christmas Cruising with Jane McDonald.
Another four shows follow, including Jane McDonald and Friends NYE Special – in two parts – and Jane McDonald: My Life Story, before culminating with Jane: 12 Cruises of Christmas.
The final show of the evening doesn’t end until 1.35am, giving viewers on Channel 5 a solid five and a half hours of the 55-year-old.
However for some, its all a bit too much, with one writing on Twitter: “There’s only so much Jane McDonald one can take. How’s C5 ratings nowadays anyway?”
Another disgruntled Channel 5 viewer added: “#jeremykyle #Thismorning trust me Jane McDonald is NOT taking over the telly at Christmas not in this house id rather have a STI than a day with that noisy northern idiot.”
A third was equally as cutting, tweeting: “I will also be watching Jane McDonald at Christmas at the same time as looking at the inside of my eyelids.”
They weren’t alone in their view, as another tweeted: “Torvill and Dean and Jane McDonald are prime time Christmas telly this year. What a time to be alive.”
A fellow viewer shared: “How broke are #channel5 exactly I can take jane mcdonald in small doses but all of Christmas? #thismorning.”
However some saw the funny side, with one tweeting: “Channel 5 is just Jane McDonald !” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

A fellow viewer was equally amused, tweeting: “Channel 5 has five and a half hours of back to back Jane McDonald on NYE from 8pm – 1.35am. And I’m going to watch every single minute. I’m not even sure who she is but if they’re that confident in her then I’m certainly doubling down.”
