BOOKIES have slashed the odds on Meghan Markle giving birth in February after she hinted she is “nearly there” with pregnancy.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, made the revealing comment to a fan on Christmas Day while attending a Christmas church service at Sandringham with husband Prince Harry.
Paddy Power now make it 6/4 (in from 8/1) that the Duchess of Sussex will welcome her first child in February, having already suspended bets on her having twins.
If she carries to full term and welcomes her first child in two month’s time, it could mean she was already expecting when she walked down the aisle at the Royal Wedding on May 19.
Many fans have commented on the size of Meghan’s bump, despite the fact Kensington Palace revealed she is due to give birth in the spring.
February is now the clear favourite in the betting, well clear of April which has odds of 3/1.
A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “Harry and Meghan certainly don’t do things by halves.
“The sudden engagement announcement, the rapid wedding turnaround, swiftly followed by pregnancy news. Welcoming twins would fit that pattern.
“And an increasing number of punters think the pair will give birth sooner than expected – just as they correctly predicted the engagement and the pregnancy.”
Current odds for the month Meghan's baby will be born
February, 2019: 6/4
March, 2019: 3/1
May, 2019: 3/1
April, 2019: 6/1
June, 2019: 10/1

Earlier this month we reported how Meghan could break with tradition and give birth at home after it was reported she’d been reading up on hypnobirthing.
Her sister-in-law Kate Middleton had all three of her children in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital.
The £7,500-a-night maternity ward recently scored just two out of five in a mandatory Government review.
