THERESA May has jetted off to Lake Garda in Italy as she starts to unwind after three years in Downing Street.
Mrs May, 62, was spotted with her husband Philip aboard a boat as back in London Boris Johnson got stuck into the task of leaving the European Union by October 31.
Lake Garda is a popular holiday destination with Theresa May as the pair have visited several times in the past.
Mrs May officially stepped down as Prime Minister on July 24, after three years in Downing Street.
Mrs May made her farewell speech with loyal husband Philip by her side, who she praised as her “greatest supporter and closest companion”.
She told reporters: “To serve as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is the greatest honour.
“The heavy responsibilities are outweighed by the huge potential to serve your country.
“But you achieve nothing alone.
“And as I leave Downing Street, my final words are of sincere thanks.”
Mrs May started her first day as a backbench MP with a trip to Lord’s to watch the cricket as England performed in a One Day Test.

She was joined by Gavin Barwell, her former Chief of Staff, David Gauke, who was her Justice Secretary, and Greg Clark, who was her Business Secretary.
Mrs May was pictured looking happy and relaxed on her first day without the weight of Brexit on her shoulders.
The ex-Prime Minister seemed to be enjoying herself as a waiter handed her a cold drink.
Back in London, Mr Johnson settled down into the position of Prime Minister and “absolutely” ruled out opting for a general election before the country leaves the EU on October 31.
The PM said during a trip to Birmingham: “The British people voted in 2015, in 2016, in 2017. What they want us to do is deliver on their mandate, come out of the EU on October 31.
“They don’t want another electoral event, they don’t want a referendum, they don’t want a general election. They want us to deliver.”
In recent weeks there had been speculation that the new Conservative leader could take the country to the polls in a bid to consolidate his power base.
His calls for Brussels to get round the table and work out a new deal with the UK though have fallen on deaf ears.
French minister for European affairs Amelie de Montchalin said President Emmanuel Macron would hold Brexit-related talks with Johnson in France in the coming weeks.

She said there was no question of renegotiating the divorce deal agreed between Johnson’s predecessor and the European Union, but that the two sides still had much to talk about.
Mr Johnson though hit back saying that talks were off until the EU binned the backstop agreement over the Irish border.
The comments come a day after EU negotiator Michel Barnier branded the demand to bin the backstop as “unacceptable”.
