Missy Keating will be making an appearance on the Voice TONIGHT.
She will be performing as part of singing duo GGMK, but does talent run in the family?
Who is Missy Keating?
Seventeen year old Missy is from County Dublin and is the daughter of Boyzone’s Ronan Keating and model Yvonne Connolly.
She is also close to her step mum Storm Keating.
Missy sings with her best friend Georgia Gaffney, together they make up GGMK.
Georgia plays the piano, while Missy plays the guitar.
Missy told the Irish Sun: “When we sing together something special happens, it’s enough to make me want to focus on music right now.”
Currently GGMK play covers but a few original tunes are starting to feature in their sets.
Missy has a background in acting and took the leading role in 2013 horror Dark Touch, while her other credits include The Sea and The Library.
What has she said about performing on The Voice?
Missy is insistent that she will not be ‘piggy backing’ off her famous father’s success but has claimed he has influenced her decision to chase stardom.
She said: “I want to get there on my own so I prefer not to mention my family name when we’re doing gigs. I don’t want my dad to be the reason we get gigs.”
However, on the show she says “My family has inspired us so much. I’ve grown up around music. My dad Ronan being in Boyzone.”
The girls sung ‘Forget You’ by CeeLo Green and it is yet to be seen if they make it through to the next stage of the competition.
When asked about performing in front of the coaches, Missy said: “I’m going to be terrified.”
Georgia says: “Just looking at the chairs going, ‘Turn, turn, turn’.”
When is the Voice 2019 on TV?
The next episode of the series will air TONIGHT (Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 8pm.)
The Voice 2019 runs for 14 episodes and airs at the same time each week on ITV.
The judges are Olly Murs, will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Sir Tom Jones
The new series started on January 5, so the next installment will be the sixth episode of the series.
