EASTENDERS is cancelled tonight because of the FA Cup.
The BBC soap normally airs one episode on a Monday at 8pm, but that will not be the case tonight as the channel hosts the big match between Chelsea and Manchester Utd.
The fifth round match will see the teams go head to head once more, having drew 2-2 the last time they played this season.
The move meant EastEnders aired a double episode on Thursday, February 14 to accommodate the scheduling change.
The episode saw Hunter Owen and his mum Mel try to flee Albert Square as the police grew closer to discovering the teen had shot dead Ray Kelly at New Year.
Earlier last week, Jack was left horrified when Mel confessed what had actually happened to the concerned ex-police officer.
He tried to convince Mel to turn her son into the police, and when she refused he told her that he would help them escape.
However, it was actually a trick – and Mel and Hunter were furious when they realised that he’d tipped off some old friends on the force.
Hunter strangled Jack in a fit of rage before attempting to run off, with Mel’s encouragement, but it wasn’t enough and he was arrested and hauled to the police station.
Jack later told Mel that the officers were friends of his and would go easy on her son – but Mel wouldn’t listen, and later threatened to kill him after she received a phone call from Hunter in tears.

Taking to social media, fans celebrated Jack’s betrayal – with many pleased that the troubled teen was finally getting his comeuppance.
One wrote: “Well done, Jack!”
Another added: “Yes Jack! About time that creep Hunter got what’s coming too him! I hope he gets sent down now.”
A third said: “Right decision, Jack. Makes a change in #EastEnders”.
EastEnders will return on Tuesday, February 19 at 7.30pm.
