A DRIVER chased by police careered off a 100ft cliff — but survived.

The motorist had failed to stop for cops before hurtling through a barrier and hitting a building below.

His Peugeot 207 landed on its wheels and he was found unconscious with serious head and chest injuries.

Last night the man, in his 30s, was being treated at King’s College Hospital in London after the midnight dash in Ramsgate, Kent.

A police spokesman said: “He was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and remains in police custody.”
