A Texas girl's Sweet 16 birthday party over the weekend was soured by her father accidentally shooting himself while playing with a loaded gun.
Police in Humble, Texas, say the bizarre incident took place at a residence located on Wintergreen Drive near Woodland Hills Drive on Saturday evening.
According to investigators, the father was spinning a gun on his finger when the firearm went off, shooting the man in the stomach during his daughter's 16th birthday celebration.

The father was taken to a hospital, but his condition is unknown at this time, reported KTRK. No other injuries were reported.
There is no word on whether the victim has a license to carry a gun. It's unclear if the man would face criminal charges in the case.
