CHELSEA are preparing for life after Eden Hazard and reportedly sent scouts to watch João Félix, Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias in Wednesday’s Lisbon derby, according to reports.
But Benfica have recently slapped a staggering £105m price tag on Felix, who has been having a breakthrough season.
Hazard has been reportedly nearing his Stamford Bridge exit with Real Madrid willing to splash £100m on their primary transfer target in the summer.
The 28-year-old Belgian has recently fuelled speculations by saying he has “made a decision” regarding his future.
Blues coach Maurizio Sarri has even conceded he will have to let his ace go as the forward has failed to sign a bumper contract extension offer Chelsea put on the table last year.
And Portuguese news outlet Jogo now report that the club are ramping up their search of Hazard’s replacement and sent scouts to watch the Lisbon derby on Wednesday – won by Benfica 2-1.

The Blues were though to be observing Benfica’s Felix and Dias, as well as Sporting’s Fernandes – who scored a consolation goal for the Lions in the derby game.
The 19-year-old playmaker Felix has become a hot property on the transfer market following his breakthrough season.
He has scored seven goals in the current campaign, including five in his last seven appearances, becoming the youngest player to net in a Lisbon derby when he bagged one against Sporting in August.
His performances have even earned him comparisons to Real Madrid, and Sporting, legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Felix has even said playing alongside Ronaldo is his “dream”, hinting at a move to Italy with Juventus reportedly in the mix for his signature.
But potential suitors will have to dip deep into their pockets as Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira has warned the midfielder has a release clause of £105m, and a contract tying him down to 2023.
