NEW BBC show Icons is set to look at the people who influenced the 20th Century.
But when is it on? And what presenters are involved? Here’s the lowdown…
When is Icons on BBC2?
You can catch the first episode of Icons on BBC Two TONIGHT (January 8, 2018) at 9pm.
The next episode is TOMORROW at the same time.
You can watch it on the iPlayer once it has aired.
It goes up against Silent Witness on BBC One and Manhunt on ITV.
How does the show work?
Each episode a different presenter explores the achievements and legacies of some of the most acclaimed figures of the 20th century.
At the end of each programme, the public can vote for the greatest leader of the past century from that particular episode.
Then, along with the finalists from the other categories, will be put through to the live final at the end of the series.
Which presenters are taking part?
Episode one
Leaders – Winston Churchill, Franklin D Roosevelt, Margaret Thatcher and Nelson Mandela.

Episode two
Explorers – Ernest Shackleton, Gertrude Bell, Neil Armstrong and Jane Goodall.

Episode three
Scientists

Episode four

To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
