AN NHS doctor was arrested after his wife found child abuse images on his computer while trying to watching an episode of Game of Thrones.
Dr Christopher Ball-Nossa’s wife gave police the laptop after finding a file name called “child porn 3-16” on the device.

Officers found more than 1,500 indecent images, which included 22 films and 196 photographs that are in Category A, the most serious type.
Ball-Nossa pleaded guilty to six charges in relation to the indecent child abuse images.
At Warwick Crown Court, the 35-year-old was given a two-year community order was told to participate in a sex offender programmet, Manchester Evening News reports.
Judge Peter Cook also ordered him to sign on the sex offender register for 10 years.

He also praised Ball-Nossa’s wife for her courage to do the right thing.
Ball-Nossa, who was working at University Hospital Coventry at the time of his arrest, has had his licence to practice provisionally suspended, according to the General Medical Council.
Anthony Cartin, prosecuting, told the court that his wife went the police in June after spotting the images on his computer.
The court heard she found child abuse images before on his computer in 2008 but believed his excuse that they were “unwanted pop-ups”.

Richard Gibbs, Ball-Nossa’s lawyer, said his client’s marriage and medical career are both over.
He added his client first had “inappropriate thoughts about children” aged 17.
Judge Cook said during sentencing: “The first thing I want to acknowledge is the conduct of your wife.

“It must have put her in the most appalling predicament, but she did the most courageous thing and went to the police. She found the courage to do the right thing.”
He said about one-seventh of the image found on his computer showed “appalling images of the abuse of small children”.
Judge Cook added: “The effects of your commission of these offences have been dramatic, to say the least. Your medical career is over, and your marriage is also over. You have ruined your life by what you did.”
