NEIL Jones and his wife Katya appear to be back on track after she was seen kissing her Strictly Come Dancing celebrity partner Seann Walsh last year.
Professional dancer Neil, 35, and Katya, 29, both work on BBC ballroom dance contest Strictly.
And the couple were hit by the show’s curse after Katya snogged comedian Seann outside a London pub while the 2018 series was on air.
But Neil and Katya seem to be on good terms at the moment after the couple jetted to her native country of Russia to visit family.
Sharing a picture of himself cosying-up to Katya on Instagram, Neil wrote: “Wow it’s cold here in Russia but I do love a bit of skating, I only wish I could dance on ice as well as a young boy after watching the Mighty Ducks movie.
“I fell in love with the ice but everyone stopped me saying what if you break your legs. Now I’m a big boy and I can do what I want.”
Posting a picture of herself posing in the snow, Katya wrote on her account: “I love seasons!!!! And if you don’t love winter like this – you’re not my friend!!! What a beautiful day!
“Walked for hours with my friend and her new born baby boy, went ice skating, walked some more, spent time with my loved ones!
“I know you’re all jealous! And I’m ok with that!”
Neil admitted that he “lost a few friends” this year after his personal life came under the microscope during Strictly Come Dancing.
The professional dancer faced a turbulent end of 2018 when his wife Katya Jones was caught snogging her dance partner Seann Walsh outside a pub.
As he reflected on his year recently, Neil said he is still fully committed to Strictly – while hinting that his relationships have felt the strain.
“I gained sooo many new friends but I also lost a few but I will never forget them [sic],” he wrote on Instagram.
He added: “Again I was honoured to be part of another successful year on @bbcstrictly which I choreographed @boyzoneofficial on @bbccin special, had a wonderful time dancing with the fabulous @itsanitarani and launched Nell de Jaunse on Ittakestwo fingers crossed I will be back next year plus you will be able to see me on the new Strictly pro tour, strictly cruises and @donaheys weekends.”
Looking forward to a fresh start, he shared: “Anyway 2018 has given so many more great moments and I’m really excited for 2019.”
Earlier this month, Neil finally stood up to Seann during rehearsals over comments the comedian made about him during his tour.
The furious dancer made it clear to Seann he wasn’t amused by his on-stage jibes, and has also banned Katya from talking to him after the final.
A source said: “Neil made angry comments backstage and complained about Seann to the other pro dancers.
“He had kept a dignified silence until now but he has also had words with Katya to tell her that once this final commitment is over he doesn’t want her to see or talk to him again.
“He’s finally laid down the law and made his feeling crystal clear.”
