New photo I had blazing row with boyfriend in front of his family on New Year’s Eve

DEAR DEIDRE: I LASHED out at my boyfriend in front of his family when I was drunk on New Year’s Eve.

My head’s a mess. My boyfriend’s family are very traditional. His father is sexist.

He thinks women should not drink and that they should be at home looking after the kids.

It’s really annoying, especially as my parents have very modern views.

I’m 24 and my boyfriend is 25. We have been together for three years.

I got into an argument with him, saying he’s just like his dad. I screamed the house down.

I tend to bottle things up until I have been drinking, then it all comes out at once.

There are things I’ve never told my boyfriend – that I was sexually abused and tried to end my life.

I feel so depressed sometimes but when I try to open up to him, it goes in one ear and out the other. I feel he just doesn’t understand.

I’m ashamed about what I did but how can I sort this out?

He’s thinking of ending our relationship.

DEIDRE SAYS: If your boyfriend has so little empathy, are you sure he is the right guy for you?

Is he heading towards being sexist, like his dad, even when you look at it with a clear head?

If you are sure you want your relationship to last, tell him you have emotional pressures you’ve not wanted to bother him with that boil over every so often.

My e-leaflet Have You Been Abused? can help him to understand.

Also, tell him you are going to find more support through Napac – the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (napac.org.uk, 0808 801 0331).

To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
