CORONATION Street actress Faye Brookes and pop star Gareth Gates are engaged just four months after breaking up, The Sun can reveal.
The reunited couple, who briefly split in September, are planning to throw a star-studded engagement party to celebrate this month at Manchester’s Gotham Hotel.
They have signed a high-profile magazine deal to formally announce the news which is due to be published next week.
Sources say the reunited couple are organising a star-studded celebration at a posh Manchester hotel later this month – but are keeping tight-lipped about the news for now.
A TV source said: “Faye and Gareth are over the moon. They’d been together a long time and the split was a bit of a blip, but they’ve totally got over it and now they want to plan their future as a couple.
“There will be lots of Faye’s co-stars and other famous faces alongside their friends and family – everyone will be delighted for them.”
The pair confirmed their breakup on social media last year, announcing to their fan base that they “remain the best of friends.”
But it wasn’t long before they reconciled with Gareth confirming in November that they were back together.
And earlier this week they were pictured enjoying a romantic night out together – with Faye keeping her left hand firmly hidden away.
Reps for both stars refused to comment.

In an interview last year Faye, who plays Kate Connor in Corrie, admitted to seeing a long-term future with Gareth and hoped one day he would surprise her with a proposal.
She said: “I talk about getting married all the time but Gareth loves to surprise me. He goes big or go home. I definitely want children, I’m a natural carer.”
The couple met while they tread the boards together in Legally Blonde: The Musical in 2012 while Gareth was still married to Suzanne Mole, who he shares daughter Missy with.
