CHELSEA’S proposed transfer for Gonzalo Higuain risks collapsing as the number of hurdles that must be overcome in talks become clear.
The Telegraph claims negotiations are ongoing between Chelsea, loan club AC Milan and parent team Juventus.
But a deal could be complicated by a number of factors.
It’s said that the Blues must first solve the riddle of Higuain’s loan deal at Milan, with a number of pre-agreed payments needing to be discussed.
The San Siro club also need to land Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek as a replacement for the Argentine.
Chelsea will be required to free up space in their squad too, and are looking to move Alvaro Morata on to Atletico Madrid.

The Spaniards are keen to strike a deal, but they may need to sell someone in order to find funds for Morata’s wages.
However, Blues chiefs are confident they will soon be able to push ahead with a deal for the Argentine as Maurizio Sarri searches for a solution in attack.
Olivier Giroud and Morata have just 14 goals between them this season.
And Higuain could be just the man to fire Chelsea back into the Champions League, netting 38 times under Sarri during his final season at Napoli in the 2015/16 campaign.
Juve and Milan are set to hold talks ahead of tonight’s Italian Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia.
And Chelsea could have their man registered in time for next week’s Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg clash against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
However, Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso claims Higuain has not yet asked to leave the San Siro, saying: “Gonzalo is always smiling and joking with his teammates.
“Probably something changed after the penalty missed and the red card against Juventus. I want to stress the fact that Gonzalo has never come to me to tell me he wants to leave.”
