ANT McPartlin needs to ‘be in a good place’ before making his long-awaited TV comeback, according to close pal Dermot O’Leary.
The popular presenter is expected to reunite with Declan Donnelly for Britain’s Got Talent auditions after stepping away from the spotlight following his drink-drive arrest.

The X Factor host Dermot told the Sunday Mirror: “Ant’s a dear friend. I think he’s scheduled to come back to TV this year.
“As long as he’s happy. He just needs to be in a good place.”
“Ant and Dec are such a staple that when I was doing a trailer for I’m A Celeb I said their names instead of Holly.”
Ant previously returned to work around this time last year to co-host both Britain’s Got Talent and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

His drink-drive arrest in March meant that his TV partner Declan Donnelly had to front both shows solo while Ant continued his recovery.
The Sun exclusively revealed that the duo would next be seen on the TV together for Britain’s Got talent in 2019.
Ant returned to work in December 2018 for the first time in nine months to attend BGT production meetings and will be back hosting the live shows alongside Declan Donnelly in May and June.
Ant is also expected to be back in Australia next year to return to his co-hosting job on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which was filled by Holly Willoughby in 2018.
Holly confirmed that she won’t return for another series of I’m A Celeb, saying “Next year, I’ll be at home with everyone else having a glass of wine watching it.”

Dermot recently told The Sun Online he’d like to take part on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here but that he will only step foot in the jungle if bosses grant two specific conditions.
“I really enjoy watching I’m a Celeb. However, I don’t know if I’d go on it – it’s not really about the money.
“But if was for just a week as a charity thing and they got loads of different hosts in, that would be cracking. I would be up for that.”

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
