THIS tiny nappy looks like it could be for a doll.
Yet incredibly, it is perfect for the smallest premature babies.
Made for use in neonatal units, it is three times smaller than a regular newborn’s nappy, fitting babies born at less than 1.8lbs — the weight of a tot that arrives before 25 weeks.
Its size is a reminder of just how vulnerable pre-term babies can be.
This Christmas, we are asking YOU to donate to the charity Bliss, which helps to save the lives of premature and poorly newborns. It funds life-saving medical breakthroughs and offers vital support for families.
Bliss also trains doctors and nurses to help parents care for their babies, which is proven to lead to better long-term health.

Parents in neonatal units often have to change baby’s nappy via the holes in an incubator, but it remains one of the few ways they can look after their poorly babies.
Bliss CEO Caroline Lee-Davey said: “It is daunting, but getting families more actively involved in caring for their premature baby aids development, creates valuable bonding and helps babies get better faster. The nappy change is one way parents can take a lead.”
The nappy is part of Pampers Preemie Protection range. Before they were developed, carers would have to cut or fold a regular nappy, which could cause discomfort and even impede development.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
