LADBABY is a parenting YouTuber who’s hoping to get an extra special gift for his wife this Christmas – a number one single!
Mark Hoyle launched the campaign with a cover of Starship’s We Built This City set to be released on Friday, December 14.
Who is LadBaby?
Mark Hoyle, 31, aka LadBaby is a blogger and YouTuber from Nottingham.
He previously worked as a graphic designer in London before he started to make parenting and budgeting videos.
He’s also an entrepreneur and inventor of the toolbox lunchbox.
In 2018 he was crowned Celebrity Dad of the Year beating the likes of Prince William and Liam Payne.
Will LadBaby get to Christmas number one?
On December 9, Mark published a video entitled When Dad Tries To Win Mum A Christmas Number 1.
In this he details his plans to top the charts at Christmas with a cover of Starship’s We Built This City.
In the video he says: “If I can pull it off it will be the best Christmas present ever and I’m going to do it so I can hopefully raise a lot of money for charity.
“So I’ve called in a few favours and I’ve got in touch with a mate who’s a producer and I’m going to try and get Rox a Christmas number one as my present to her…”
The track will be released on Friday, December 14, in aid of poverty charity The Trussell Trust.
Bookies had him as a firm favourite with Ladbrokes giving him odds of 6/1 to put him just behind Ariana Grande.
But after punters rushed to pile in on him – cutting his bets to 1/6 – the bookmakers closed betting.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “LadBaby’s late push for Christmas number one spot looks to have worked and we’re no longer taking bets on exactly who’ll top the charts on Christmas Day.”

Who is LadBaby’s wife Roxanne?
Mark Hoyle has been married to his wife Roxanne since 2015.
She is also a blogger and YouTuber who goes by the name LadBabyMum.
She was previously an amateur UK free diver.
The couple have two sons Phoenix, two and Kobe, born in 2018.
