ITV bosses are bringing back Who Wants To Be A Millionaire after its successful trial period.
But, when will it be on TV, who will host it and who are the biggest winners and cheats in the show’s history? Here’s the lowdown.
When does Who wants to be a Millionnaire start on ITV?
Following a successful trial run, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will return to screens next year.
We don’t know when exactly it will start just yet but we do know that it is set to air in early 2019.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the iconic show, it had returned for a week of celebratory episodes back in May.
Seven one hour episodes were shown on ITV over the course of the week.
Over 6 million fans tuned in to watch the revived format, prompting ITV bosses to invest in a new 10-part series.
Who is the 2019 host?
The Sun exclusively revealed that Jeremy Clarkson will be presenting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’s reboot.
Jeremy said: “I absolutely loved hosting the anniversary shows and cannot wait to spend a few precious hours away from James May and Richard Hammond, making the new ones.”
A TV insider shared: “There was never any doubt that ITV wanted another run of Millionnaire – it was so popular with Jeremy and there’s still a massive appetite for more.
“Jeremy is very busy with his other commitments so it was about trying to make it work for everyone, but unfortunately the logistics have all been ironed out and he’s agreed to another run.”

Who are the biggest winners and cheaters?
Only 5 lucky contestants have made it all the way to the million-pound question and managed to answer it correctly.
The first was Judith Keppel in 2000, followed by David Edwards and Robert Brydges in 2001.
Then Pat Gibson in 2004 and Ingram Wilcox in 2006.
As for cheaters, Charles Ingram very famously cheated on the show.
He went to win the top prize of £1 million but the production company was suspicious and decided to suspend his payout.
They accused Charles of having an accomplice in the audience, lecturer Tecwen Whittock, who coughed ever time Charles landed on the right answer.
He was taken to trial and got charged with two years of prison sentencing suspended for two years, £15,000 fine and £10,000 prosecution costs alongside his wife.
