MRS WILSON is a three-part drama based on a true story of betrayal, bigamy and espionage starring Ruth Wilson as her own grandmother Alison Wilson.


But who else is in it and when is it on the BBC? Here’s all you need to know.

When is Mrs Wilson on BBC One?


Mrs Wilson will continue tonight December 4, at 9pm on BBC1.


The three-part drama is written by Anna Symon, and directed by Richard Laxton.

Ruth Wilson, who is taking the leading role, is also executive producer.


Speaking about the drama, Lucy Richer, Executive Producer for the BBC, said: “Anna Symon’s scripts, based on the remarkable story of Ruth Wilson’s grandparents, are full of twists and turns.


“It is a story of breathtaking secrets and love against the odds, and I can’t wait to see it brought to life for BBC1 by such a fascinating cast, led by Ruth.”

What is the drama about?


Mrs Wilson is based on the life of Ruth Wilson’s own grandmother.


The award-winning actress, best known for her roles in The Affair and Luther, will play her grandmother, Alison Wilson, in the drama, which is set between the 1940s and 1960s.


The series follows Alison Wilson, who believes she is happily married until her husband, Alec, dies and a woman shows up on her doorstep claiming to be the real Mrs Wilson.


Alison is determined to prove the validity of her own marriage, but is shown some disturbing secrets.


Alec was a writer, spy and secret service officer who served in the First World War before moving to India to teach English Literature.

Who’s in the cast with Ruth Wilson?


Game of Thrones’ Iain Glen stars as Alison’s husband Alec.


Also in the cast is Bodyguard’s Keeley Hawes, Anupam Kher (Silver Linings Playbook) and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter, Killing Eve).


Dunkirk actor Calam Lynch also stars as does Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’s Otto Farrant and Patrick Kennedy, who has most recently been on our screens in The First.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
