UFC legend Jon Jones has been cleared to fight Alexander Gustafsson after coming off the drug suspension list.
The troubled star has had his California fight licence dramatically reinstated after an initial green light.
And Jones is now clear to fight at UFC 232 on December 29.
Jones was given a 15-month ban after testing positive for anabolic steroid Turinabol before his battle with Daniel Cormier in July 2017.
But he met with the California State Athletic Commission yesterday for a hearing.
And a 6-0 vote from the board saw him granted a temporary licence, avoiding a four-year ban in the process.
Jones also paid a £164,000 fine, and because he is free to fight in California, the board in Nevada should now allow him to participate at UFC 232 in Las Vegas later this month.
Jones has always maintained that he is not a doper, telling the CSAC: “Make sure you guys watch.”
And director Andy Foster, who was defending Jones, added: “I do not think Mr Jones is intentionally a doper.
“I just don’t believe it. If he is, he’s the worst doper in combat sports. He fails the one test he knows is coming.”
Jones has had a troubled past and was first stripped of his Light Heavyweight title ahead of a fight with Anthony Johnson at UFC 187 in May 2014 after a hit-and-run incident involving a pregnant woman.
Jones was then suspended for a doping violation in 2016 and stripped of his interim belt yet again.
And he will now be hoping to all that in the past when he faces Gustafsson at the end of the year.
Jones boasts an incredible 22 wins from 24 fights, but knows the Swede – who has 18 wins from 22 fights – will not roll over.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
