New photo Tot, 2, rushed to hospital after being hit by car ‘with no driver’ in North London

A TWO-year-old child has been rushed to hospital this evening after they were hit by a car in North London.


Police have said they don’t believe anyone was in the vehicle at the time of the horror collision on Hood Lane, Enfield.


Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 3pm today, following reports of a road traffic collision.


London Ambulance Service said it deployed a number of resources to the scene including an Air Ambulance and the Hazardous Area Response Team, which are specially trained medics who specialise in complex extractions and multiple casualty incidents.


The tot was then taken to a Major Trauma Centre and the Metropolitan Police are awaiting an update on their condition.


A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 15.10 this afternoon to reports of a road traffic collision in N14.


“A number of resources were dispatched to the scene, the first arriving at 15.20. One patient was taken by ambulance to one of London’s major trauma centres.”





Met Police have said they don’t believe anyone was in the vehicle at the time and there have been no arrests.


A spokesman said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 15:13hrs on Saturday, 15 December following reports of a car in collision with a child on Hood Avenue, N14.


“Officers and the LAS attended. A child, believed to be aged two years old was taken to an east London hospital. We await an update on their condition.


“At this early stage, it is not believed that anyone was in the vehicle at the time. There have been no arrests.”
