The Duke of Cambridge today spoke out about the dangers of Spice as he visited a homeless centre with his wife Kate, 24 years after he first went with there with his mother Princess Diana as a boy.
William spoke about the legal high as the royal couple heard from frontline workers at The Passage in London about the challenges relating to street homelessness, including drug addiction and mental health issues.
The Duke first visited the charity in 1994 with his younger brother Harry when the pair were 12 and 10, alongside their mother Diana, Princess of Wales. Since then William has visited three more times, twice in a private capacity.
Earlier, the Duchess of Cambridge spoke of her passion for supporting the early years development of children as she announced a new patronage with a world leading children's hospital in Lambeth.

Go green like Kate in a polka dot dress by L.K. Bennett
We were treated to a surprise appearance by the Duchess of Sussex at the British Fashion Awards last night, and today the Duchess of Cambridge is out and about too. Double the royal style inspiration!
Kate is really on a roll at the moment. We're still swooning over the festive red tartan Emilia Wickstead skirt she wore last week! But whilst Meghan's Givenchy gown last night was bespoke, Kate is debuting a brand new high street find from L.K. Bennett. And it's up for grabs in all sizes!
Click (right) to buy the 'Mortimer' dress now. It's also available in navy, but we love the dark green shade, polka dot print (a favourite of Kate's at the moment) and pussybow neckline. The pearl buttons are a nice touch too! The long sleeves and midi length are classic Kate, and when teamed with a clutch bag by L.K. Bennett in khaki suede, it's a very chic look.
Or dress like a duchess in one of the lookalike options from our edit below.

William first visited homeless charity The Passage in 1994 with his younger brother Harry when the pair were 12 and 10, alongside their mother Diana, Princess of Wales
At the Passage, the royal couple sat in on a roundtable discussion on mental heath and homelessness before another discussion on the drug spice, which is smoked like cannabis.
William said to Passage chief executive Mick Clarke: 'The fact it was a legal high and that young people were allowed to take it and it has led to such addiction is just terrible'
Afterwards Mr Clarke, 50, said of the royals: 'They were genuinely shocked at how cheap spice is and the effects it can have. This is a drug that targets the poorest of the poor.
'We're talking about something that one puff could hospitalise you or lead to your death. It's clearly targeting the lowest of the low, those who have fallen on hard times.
'In both discussions they had real empathy and they really care about the issues and the poorest in society. They take the role they have, to raise these issues, very seriously'
At the charity's St Vincent centre in Victoria, the couple also took part in a Christmas arts and craft session. Kate helped make bead bracelets and laughed that daughter 'Charlotte would love making these'.
William was asked to help make a 'Welcome to Xmas Dinner' sign and given an 'E' to cut out. Kate laughed and raised an eyebrow as William said: 'My son knows I'm useless at this, Catherine is the artsy one.'

Parents of children with life threatening illnesses said her dedication to the role would mean that staff at the Evelina London Children's Hospital would 'get the recognition they deserve'.
Kate was joined by William as they were welcomed to the hospital by six-year-old Tiana Yales who is being treated for sickle cell anaemia.
The schoolgirl said she was 'very excited' to have been chosen to present a bouquet to the Duchess for her visit.
The Duchess, wearing a £325 green and cream silk polka dot dress from LK Bennett, met medical and support staff before spending 20 minutes speaking to parents whose children are patients at the hospital.
Kirsty and Kayleigh Rockwell, whose daughter Nancy has been treated at the hospital since she was born, said they were 'very impressed' with the Duchess's interest in the centre.

Their three-year-old suffers from heterotaxy syndrome, a rare birth defect which results in the internal organs being abnormally arranged in the chest and abdomen.
The little girl has undergone three open heart surgeries with her first operation at just five days old.
Mother Kirsty, 31, from Bracknell, Berkshire,, said: 'The Evelina has been a lifeline not only to our daughter but also the whole family. They have enabled us to live on site and have also never neglected the needs of our five-year-old son Oscar.
'Kate was so sweet, we were both very impressed by her warmth and I think she will be the perfect ambassador for the hospital. She spoke to us about the importance of the family being together and she really understood what that means to us all.
'Her involvement will be an inspiration to the children and the staff and they will hopefully get he recognition they deserve.'

Last February Kate visited the hospital to launch a global campaign to empower and support nurses and a year earlier opened Ronald McDonald House at the Evelina.
The accommodation attached to the hospital is used by families to help deal with the pressures of long term treatment for their sick children.
The 'home away from home' is described as 'invaluable' by parents and offers a comfort to the young patients who are being treated over long periods of time.
In a short speech before unveiling a banner to commemorate the hospital's 150th anniversary, Kate said: 'The staff both here and outside in the community do such an amazing job so well done to everybody.
'Early years is such a big part of that work I am really interested in and that's really the main focus that you have here, supporting children at the earliest stages of their lives but also seeing them through to adulthood and supporting them in every way you can so it's a real privilege to be part of this organisation and I look forward to many happy years, hopefully ahead and congratulations to everyone here.'

More than 30,000 children are seen as day or inpatients at the world class medical facility, with 100,000 outpatients appointments made each year.
Marian Ridley, director of Evelina London, said: 'We are delighted that the Duchess of Cambridge has agreed to become a patron of the hospital.
'She has spoken with passion and enthusiasm about the work we do here and we see it as a perfect alignment between her personal interests in the care of young children and young people's development.
'We haven't as yet sat down with the Duchess to discuss what she would like to pursue but in the lead up to our 150th anniversary next year there are going to be so many wonderful opportunities for us to work together.
'This is very much a life commitment and I have been so impressed with both Kate and William and their interest in causes such as ours.

Mother-of-three, Preminy Kamalanathan has been visiting the hospital with her daughter Harini, four, since she was born.
The four-year-old suffers from MSUD (Maple syrup urine disease), a rare but serious inherited condition which affects one in 180,000 people.
The condition means the body cannot process certain amino acids and can be life threatening.

Evelina London was founded in 1869 as Evelina Hospital for Sick Children by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild, whose wife, Evelina, died along with their baby in child birth.
Now, Evelina London cares for children and young people from before birth, throughout childhood and into adult life. The hospital provides a range of services to children across south London and south east England.
The hospital also provides community services to children and their families in nearby boroughs Lambeth and Southwark.

Back in her high street favourite! Duchess of Cambridge dons a £325 L.K Bennett polka dot dress after a two-year hiatus from wearing the brand (while sporting a VERY bouncy hairdo!)
She was a huge champion of high street fashion when she first married Prince William, and today the Duchess of Cambridge went back to her roots in a spotted green dress by one of her favourites.
Kate, 36, looked elegant in a £325 green and cream silk polka dot dress from L.K. Bennett for a visit to the Evelina London Children's hospital, a brand that was once synonymous with her royal wardrobe.
In recent years, she's been edging away from the high street in favour of more upmarket brands such as Erdem, Emilia Wickstead and even D&G, and hasn't work L.K. Bennett for two years.
The last sighting was in 2016 when she recycled her £245 blue-and-white Lasa Poppy dress for a school visit in Luton.
But today it was firmly back in the spotlight, which will no doubt give the brand a boost after recent financial struggles.

The silk dress is a new addition to Kate's wardrobe and marks the first time she's worn L.K Bennett for two years
Earlier in 2018 L.K.Bennett reported losses of £5.9 million in 2016/2017, compared with a £100,000 profit in the previous 12 months.
Total sales also fell by 1.8 per cent to £77.4 million. The company blamed the figures on 'exceptional costs' of £28.7 million, spent on corporate restructuring.
For today's visit, the Duchess looked perfectly co-ordinated teaming her dress with suede shoes in dark green and carrying a matching clutch.
And her trademark voluminous locks fell around her shoulders in a particularly bouncy style.

William and Kate are set to meet youngsters receiving care and their parents when they tour the Evelina London Children's hospital.
Earlier today it was announced that Kate is to become royal patron of the hospital, her 18th patronage since marrying Prince William.
Later they will travel to The Passage, where they will hear from frontline workers about the challenges relating to street homelessness, including drug addiction and mental health issues.
