PAUL McCartney enjoyed a spot of lunch on Roman Abramovich’s £1billion luxury yacht yesterday while on a post-Christmas holiday with his family.
The Beatles legend was snapped hopping aboard a vessel on his way to a meal with Chelsea owner Abramovich – who is reportedly banned from entering the UK – in the Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy.
Sir Paul, 76, took a drink alongside is wife Nancy Shevell, 59, and fashion designer daughter Stella, 47, on board the Eclipse Friday.
Earlier, he took to the wheel of a rental car as he drove to the lunch appointment wearing a collarless blue shirt and snazzy panama hat.
Meanwhile, Stella wore an in-vogue camel coloured jumpsuite – and Nancy was seen stepping on board with a floral dress and shades.
Sir Paul had touched down in the French-speaking island on Boxing Day in a private jet.
He chose Friday to meet on Abramovich’s superyacht – as the Russian oligarch still awaits the renewal of a visa to allow him to visit the UK.
The billionaire was granted Israeli citizenship earlier this year, which would normally allow him access to Britain without hassle.
He is currently banned after a delay in renewing his investor visa amid a row over close links to Russian president Vladimir Putin – punished in the wake of the Salisbury poisoning scandal.
But senior government sources revealed to The Sun earlier this year that he still faces a separate banning order to stop him coming into the country.
Border chiefs have a range of powers they can deploy to override visa waiver schemes.
The senior source said: “Having an Israeli passport is not a backdoor at all.
“There are a whole range of powers that can be used to stop Abramovich from coming in.
“He could be deemed not conducive to the public good, it could be decided that he is coming in for different reasons than he has stated or there could be concern about previous immigration offences.
He will find out that it’s not that easy.”
But the exile has allowed 52-year-old Abramovich more time to spend on the staggering vessel.
It cost just shy of £300million when he picked up the keys in 2010 – and at the time it was the biggest private yacht in the world.
It is probably the most extravagant boy’s toy ever imagined – with upgrades and maintenance taking the cost to well over £1BILLION.
Built by renowned German shipbuilder Blohm & Voss in the Hamburg shipyards that built the Bismarck, Eclipse was launched after five years of design, development and testing.
For starters it is 533ft long – more than twice the size of the pitch at Stamford Bridge.
The fuel tanks are said to be able to hold a million litres, meaning it can travel 6,000 miles before it needs topping up.
Eclipse boasts nine decks, the top one containing two helipads and a garage.

The forward helideck opens out to allow for a Eurocopter EC155 to be stored in a hangar underneath.
The eighth deck features a swimming pool and a sundeck, with a pull-out barbecue and pizza oven and a built-in wood burning fire pit.
The main saloon boasts a fireplace and a massive driftwood sculpture from Bali in Indonesia.
There is another pool on the seventh deck with an adjustable depth feature that can sees the floor rise and fall, so that it can be converted into a dance floor.
There is also a huge gym and spa area with a beauty salon, sauna and massage room.
The lower decks contains the suites and cabins that can house 32 guests and 100 crew.
Each cabin in the yacht reportedly comes with a private 6ft home cinema screen, a Jacuzzi, spa and specialised security systems.
