New photo Mum finds strange woman ‘trying to abduct son, 2, in middle of the night’

A MUM revealed the chilling moment she woke up to find a woman sat on the stairs talking to her two-year-old son.

She discovered the intruder in her home in Hyde, Greater Manchester at 4am on Boxing day.

Officers were called to the home of the unnamed mum and a woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction and was taken to custody for questioning.

The shaken mum took to Facebook to share her terrifying ordeal and to warn others.

She also urged parents to make sure that their windows and doors were locked.

In the post, which has since been deleted, she wrote: “4am this morning I woke up to a woman on my stairs with my 2 year old son trying to kidnap him while me and [****] slept in the next room.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police told the Sun Online said: “Police were called to Sydall Street, Hyde, at around 4.04am on Wednesday 26 December 2018, to reports of an attempted child abduction.

Officers attended and, following thorough enquiries, a woman – who was arrested nearby – was released with no further action”
