The first daughter seemed delighted to be part of the meeting, and was seen laughing happily as she and Bob kicked off the conversation.
On Tuesday evening, Ivanka had joined members of the Indian and Southeast Asia community during a Diwali Festival of Lights ceremony that as held at the White House.
The five-day event coincides with the Hindu new year and is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains worldwide.
The first daughter was all smiles at the celebration, and earlier in the day, two of her three children gave her a special send-off before she headed to work.

The little girl's light brown hair was pulled back aside from the clip-in plaits that were framing the front of her face.
She was carrying a small piece of paper in her hand, and at one point, she was seen reading it while she and her baby brother waited for their mom.
Theodore, meanwhile, looked like he was in the middle of breakfast.
The tot was still wearing his bib over his sunny yellow sweater while braving the morning chill.

On her left wrist was a red string bracelet that she has been wearing off and on for over a year now.
Though she hasn't spoken about the purpose of the string, it does bear a resemblance to the type of red string that Kabbalah practitioners wear to ward off the 'evil eye.'
Although she is known to smile at the paparazzi waiting outside her door, Ivanka didn't even glance in the direction of the cameras as she made the short walk to the Secret Service SUV parked in front of her home.
