A MEMBER of pop group,Walk off the Earth, died on Saturday, days before a gig.

Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor, who played keyboard, piano, and organ for the Canadian band died of natural causes in his sleep.

Heartbroken bandmates broke the news to fans in a statement posted on social media.

Walk off the Earth are famous for their cover of Gotye’s Somebody I Used To Know in 2012

The video, showing all five band members playing a single guitar, went viral and was viewed more than 185 million times.

The band said: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and band member, Mike ‘Beard Guy’ Taylor.

“Mike had a love for life that was unmatched and a willingness to give that went beyond ordinary means.”

Mike was a dad of two who the band said “he adored more than anything else in the world.

Walk Off the Earth have also posted stunning covers of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Lordes and Madonna.

Their videos have been praised for having unique gimmicks, homemade instruments and unusual arrangements.
