A shocking investigation has found that some Christmas chocolate boxes by food giant Cadbury can cost £1 more than they are actually worth.
The brand's Stocking Selection Box contains six of its most popular chocolate bars - Wispa, Crunchie, Double Decker, Twirl, Dairy Milk and Dairy Milk Oreo - and is priced at £3.
However the Dairy Milk Oreo is the only bar in the box - which resembles a cardboard stocking - which is the traditional full-size.
The other chocolates are smaller versions of the bars, which can be bought in multipack deals throughout the year, costing between 23p and 25p each.

It means that the Stocking Selection Box's contents are actually worth £1.88 compared to the £3 price tag, the investigation by The Sun discovered.
Last week, Cadbury was accused of ripping customers off with its its Ultimate Selection Box - after shoppers worked out it would be 50 per cent cheaper to buy the chocolate bars individually.
The limited edition selection box contains 26 chocolate bars including a Crunchie, Dairy Milk Fruit & Nut and Freddo.
It's estimated that the value of the chocolate bars alone stands at £24.89, less than half the price tag of the box, which costs £50 from Cadbury Gifts Direct.

Shoppers have been quick to criticise the chocolate giant over the 'ridiculously overpriced' item on Facebook.
A spokesperson for the company, which is owned by Mondelez International, said: 'After popular demand, we have made a limited number of Cadbury Ultimate Selection Boxes, containing all the top Cadbury favorites.
'The smaller production run and increased packaging costs to withhold the considerable weight of the combined products has meant higher manufacturing costs, this is reflected in the price.'
Weighing just over 2kg, the box measures 75cm x 48 cm x 4cm and is described by Cadbury as 'probably the world's biggest selection box' and a 'whopper' that's 'perfect for sharing'.
