CHELSEA have blasted the ‘brainless’ morons who shamed their club with a fresh racism storm.
A minority among the 1,200 away fans were heard chanting “Barcelona, Real Madrid, Tottenham are a load of y***” just minutes into last night’s Europa League tie against MOL Vidi.
The vile song aimed at rivals Tottenham comes just five days after four Chelsea fans were accused of hurling racist abuse at Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
Uefa have opened an investigation into the incidents at the match in Hungary.
A Blues spokesman said: “Anti-Semitism and any other kind of race-related or religious hatred is abhorrent to this club and the overwhelming majority of our fans.
“It has no place at Chelsea or in any of our communities.
“Any individuals that can’t summon the brainpower to comprehend this simple message, and are found to have shamed the club by used using anti-Semitic or racist words or actions, will face the strongest possible action.”
Chelsea fans singing the song were shopped by outraged fellow supporters, who took to social media to expose the latest incident of racist behaviour to stain the club’s reputation.
Police are investigating last Saturday’s incident at Stamford Bridge as a possible hate crime. Two men have come forward, but deny using racist language.
Chelsea will attempt to find anyone involved in singing anti-Semitic songs last night.
But they fear poor CCTV coverage will make it difficult to identify those responsible — despite all travelling fans being members of the club’s away ticket scheme.
Chelsea’s Italian boss Maurizio Sarri said: “I didn’t hear anything. I am not able to understand the songs in English.”
And last year Chelsea were forced to plead with fans to stop singing a song which referred to ‘Y**s’ when they signed striker Alvaro Morata.
Earlier this week, Sarri labelled the verbal attack on Sterling as “disgusting”, while Eden Hazard insisted those who took part are “not proper fans”.
Colin Wing was alleged to have called the ex-Liverpool star a “f****** black c***”, but the 60-year-old denied the claims, insisting he called him a “Manc c***”.
