A date has been set for Cardi B's deposition in her $15million lawsuit against her former manager.

The rapper will sit down with Shaft's lawyers in March, TMZ reported on Tuesday.

Cardi filed her lawsuit this summer in response to an April lawsuit by Shaft, in which he sued her for $10m. The court initially agreed to delay her deposition, as Cardi was pregnant with daughter Kulture.

In her lawsuit she claimed Shaft was controlling of both her finances and personal life - including her fledgling relationship with future husband Offset, from whom she is now newly separated.

In her countersuit, filed back in July in a federal court, the I Like It artist, 25, said that Shaft (whose real name is Klenord Raphael) attempted to sabotage her relationship with the 26-year-old Migos rapper by dictating 'who she should and should not see romantically,' according to TMZ. 

The New York City native said in legal docs that Shaft put up 'barriers between her and people close to her in an effort to maintain complete control over her.' 

The Bodak Yellow performer said that Shaft exploited her on the numbers end of the business, as he sought to take not only a 20percent commission, but asked for half of the proceeds she earned off of her Sony publishing contract.

The lawsuit came after she retained new management in the form of Quality Control's Solid Foundation, ran by industry professionals Kevin Lee and Pierre Thomas. Shaft named both men in the suit, in addition to Patientce Foster, Cardi B's publicist/stylist.

Shaft filed a lawsuit April 26 against the musical artist, whose full name is Belcalis Almanzar, saying he felt 'Offset is responsible for steering Cardi B to QC to be managed by Thomas and Lee in all of her entertainment endeavors,' according to Variety. 

In one instance, he said Offset contacted him late last year, saying he was a 'snake' who had taken more than his fair share of Cardi B's earnings.

'Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image,' the agent's rep said in a statement in the wake of the suit. 

He continued: 'While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint.'

Shaft said that he provided Cardi B with the professional connections that paved her way onto VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York, and linked her with talented music producers and publishers.
