BARMY parole chiefs are considering putting an Al-Qaeda boss with links to the the 7/7 bombers back on the streets – even though he was jailed for LIFE just ten years ago.
Terror fanatic Rangzieb Ahmed was locked up in 2008 after cops nabbed him for plotting attacks against the UK.
Ahmed, 43, was found with notebooks filled with terror contacts scrawled in invisible ink.
Former National Counter Terrorism Security Office chief Chris Phillips fumed: “This is disgraceful. It seems as if the criminal justice system is working against the police.
He told the Sunday Mirror: “They are letting unreformed terrorists back on the street.
“We haven’t got the police to deal with them. In many cases they have not been reformed and they are more dangerous than when they were convicted.”
The Rochdale-born terror chief was the highest-ranking Al-Qaeda operative jailed in Britain – and was the first person convicted in the UK for directing a terrorist organisation.
He is thought to have links with the 7/7 bombers, and is suspected of being in touch with the extremists who tried to detonate bombs in the capital two weeks afterwards.
The fiend headed a three-man cell which was preparing to commit terrorist acts on UK soil.
He was arrested in Pakistan after MI6 officers found a stash of his code books in Manchester.

Last night a Parole Board spokesman said: “We can confirm the parole review of Rangzieb Ahmed has been referred to the Parole Board and is following the standard processes.”
Phillips added: “We need to work out what we are going to do with those people who are unreformed terrorists.
“It’s OK letting them out but we only need one of them to go and commit an atrocity and the police will get the blame. We are putting more and more dangerous people back on the streets.”
