New photo RaeLynn is 'counting down the days' until husband Josh Davis returns from military for Thanksgiving

The country star already knows what she will be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

On Sunday, RaeLynn revealed that she's 'counting down the days' until husband Josh Davis returns home from the military for the holiday.

The 24-year-old star of The Voice' second season was speaking at a pre-CMA Awards listening lounge at the Goo Goo Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, presented by People, Aflac and Nashville's Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Hospital.

The Tailgate singer -whose full name is Racheal Lynn Woodward- dished: 'He’s training at the moment, but I get to see him for Thanksgiving. I’m counting down the days for next week to spend some time with him.' 

The hitmaker shared three snaps from the event on Instagram, including two of her singing, captioned: 'It means so much to me to do special performances like this one.

'Thank you @aflacduck and @people for making this incredible experience happen!'

Meanwhile, RaeLynn's family has a history of service. Aside from Josh she said her brother had just got out. 'He’s been serving for eight years. He’s been in Okinawa, Japan, and my papa served in World War Two.'

And she described her role as the wife of a military member, saying:  'There’s a level of sacrifice that you have to do as a military spouse that the average person might not have to do.

'You can’t talk to your significant other all the time. There’s the fear of when they do deploy, of not seeing them again and that underlying fear of just hoping that they’re okay.'

At the listening lounge, where RaeLynn performed for pediatric cancer patients and their families, the kids enjoyed face painting, making their own candy and ice cream sundaes, dancing and more.

Giving thanks: 'It means so much to me to do special performances like this one,' she captioned this snap  'Thank you @aflacduck and @people for making this incredible experience happen!'

In October 2017, RaeLynn, who tied the knot with Josh in February 2016, revealed to People about how his time in the military had affected her outlook on marriage.

'When you have time apart you realize how much you need the person that you’re married to,' she reflected.

'I will never take a moment with my husband for granted ever. I will never get upset over petty things because that stuff doesn’t matter — life is too short. That’s the biggest thing I’ve realized: how amazing a relationship we do have.

'He’s doing something so honorable, and I’m just so proud of him,' she continued about Josh who started his basic training in February 2017. 'He’s absolutely incredible.'
