The 61-year-old TV veteran showed that people can be fit at any age after sharing a shirtless selfie to Instagram on Saturday.

In nothing but blue and grey Bonds underwear, the former Blue Heelers actor posed in front of a mirror.

He sported a pair of round framed glasses and a grey goatee beard in the photograph. 

He tagged the photo #sixtysmixty and #onlyanumberreally.

His incredibly trimmed physique garnered the attention of fans.

'Not bad for an old fella,' one social media user commented on the racy picture.

Gary shared the image following a failed attempt at starting a book club on the account.

He captioned the shirtless photo: 'Hmm, book club idea not well received, so here's me in my undies!'
