"Many Photos" - What time is the Boat Race, is it on today and Oxford vs Cambridge TV channel, live stream, and teams?

THE UNIVERSITY BOAT RACE is back for the 165th edition as Oxford and Cambridge go head-to-head once again.


Cambridge currently lead the overall number of wins 83-80 and will be hoping to repeat last year’s victory.

When is The Boat Race?


The annual event will take place on Sunday, April 7.


The men’s race will stat at 3.10pm, with women’s and reserves events preceding it.


It will be held on the River Thames, with the Championship Course stretching four miles from Putney to Mortlake.

What TV channel is it on and can I live stream it?


As per usual, the Boat Race will be shown live on BBC One.


This is a FREE channel, providing you have a valid TV licence – this costs £150.50 for a year or from 12.56 a month.


You will also be able to live stream online via the BBC iPlayer on your computer, tablet or mobile device.

What are the teams?


James Cracknell – Olympic rowing champion in 2000 and 2004 – will become the oldest rower in the Boat Race, aged 46.


He will be racing for Cambridge University and will break the record by ten years.
