Ant McPartlin was spotted back on the road for the first time as he was cycling on a bike through South West London on Saturday.

The comedian, 43, was banned from driving for 20 months after he was caught twice over the legal drink-drive limit in a car crash.

Ant, who will return to our screens on Saturday for Britain's Got Talent, explored the leafy areas of the British capital during a ride on his bicycle.

Clad in a helmet and jeans, the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here host looked completely at ease as he went about on his bike.

His appearance comes after Ant admitted he 'constantly relives' his drink-drive crash following the shocking incident last year.

The TV presenter vowed he has been trying to become a better man. 

During a joint interview with The Guardian, Ant and the other half of his presenting double act Declan Donnelly discussed the last 12 months since the crash.

Ant was twice over the legal drink-drive limit when he completed a breathalyser test following the collision, which led to him being £86,000 as well as being handed a 20 month driving ban.

The funnyman took a year out from his presenting partnership with Dec to focus on seeking help to battle his demons.

He told the publication: 'I've constantly relived the incident. I know how serious that could have been and I am doing things on a daily basis to be a better man.'

'I thank God every night that nobody was seriously hurt. I constantly think about it.'

Dec, who revealed that he sought therapy following the event, even hinted their friendship was put to the test for the first time after the crash.

He admitted: ‘I wanted to punch him and hug him at the same time and I didn’t know which one I wanted to do first. It’s indefensible.’  

It's been a difficult year for Ant who tackled his painkiller addiction in rehab, ended his marriage to Lisa Armstrong and committed a drink-driving offence.

He was forced to step down from the last few episodes of Britain's Got Talent in 2018 as well as Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway last spring.  

In August, it was revealed ITV hit show Saturday Night Takeaway presented by Ant and Dec pair since 2002 has been cancelled until 2020.

ITV were recently forced to deny claims that the show is set to be axed after 15 series and assured fans the hit programme would return to screens next year.
